Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu And Kashmir State is a scintillating hill resort with spectacular lakes, panoramic gardens, pristine and secluded mountains. According to mythology, sage Kashyap drained the water of a huge lake resulting in the beautiful valley of Srinagar.
The state has a long history dating back to more than 2000 years. The city is said to be founded by King Pravarasena. Since then the place is ruled by mauryas, Vikramaditya, Hun tribes, Mughal and Sikhs. Mughal Emperor Jahangir said about the place that if there is heaven on earth, it is this.

Hazratbal Shrine : This is very religious place for Muslims. It is said that hairs of Prophet Muhammad are kept here.
